XTRASORB™ HCS
Aside from its unique dual mode of action (hydrating dry to lightly exuding wounds while also capable of absorbing moderate amounts of exudates), this hybrid hydrogel/hydrocolloid dressing has several features giving it a distinct advantage over other dressings:

XTRASORB™ Foam
While is absorptive capabilities are superior to competitive dressings, XTRASORB™ Foam has several other unique benefits over traditional foam dressings.

• Locking wound fluid at the back of the dressings allows XTRASORB™ Foam to keep the harmful components of wound fluid away from the wound and surrounding tissue. This includes bacteria and proteases.
• When the super absorbent polymer sheet is hydrated with wound fluid, the resulting gel acts to provide real cushioning and comfort to patients when the dressing is placed on pressure points such as heels, elbows, and other pressure-sensitive areas of the body.
